Treatment at SMSM

At SMSM, we are dedicated to helping people be the best they can be in their every day activities.

What We Do

We utilize many different manual therapy techniques including myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, and trigger point therapy, as well as IASTM (instrument assisted soft-tissue mobilization), cupping, and PNF, or proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. If you’re unfamiliar with many of these terms, just think of these massages as the ones that finally and actually help.
Michelle uses a 15W LightForce Laser Therapy unit is also used in her sessions as needed.

Full (50 minutes) Manual Therapy sessions can be scheduled online. Please contact us directly to schedule an Extended (90 minutes) Session.

What to expect during your first visit:

Please bring a pair of athletic shorts to your visit.

Upon arrival, we will have a conversation about your health history as well as your treatment goals and needs. Please be as thorough as possible on your intake form as it will help us develop the best possible treatment plan for you. After this conversation, your therapist will step out of the room while you get on the massage table.

After your session, we will discuss supplemental homework such as stretching or foam rolling techniques, and future treatment.
